10. Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.4 Multiair
Since the Alfa Romeo Giulietta was launched in 2012, it was a fun and agile car to drive. it also looks sexy with the headlight design which comes with LED daytime running lights.
It looks sexier than it's rivals which are the Peugeot 308 GT and the Volkswagen Golf GTI. However, there are some setbacks. The boot of this car is the smallest within it's rivals with 350 litres of boot space the high boot lip also makes loading and unloading things from the car very difficult espacially when loading and unloading luggage bags. It also scores the lowers when you compare this car to it's rivals.
However, despite all the setbacks, this car has the most powerful engine between it's rivals which the engine produces 168bhp and has a 6-speed TCT Automatic gearbox.
You can just pick the 1.4 Multiair version at just SGD 122,800. If you want the 1.4 QV Line version, that will cost SGD 8,000 more and if you want to pick the 1.8L Quadriforgio version with 237bhp, it will cost SGD 23,000 more.
9. Audi A1 Sportback
As good looking as it seems, you would want this to be your first car. The Audi A1 Sportback is a good looking hatchback which you can get at SGD 117,850 which is really quite cheap for an Audi. For this type of money, you will get an Audi packed with technology which is what an Audi should always have.
You will get a touch screen Multi-Media System which can fold down. You also get LED headlights and tailights which look really nice on the car. You will also get LED daytime running lights which looks really nice on the car as it has the new Audi design. However, the dashboard looks boring as it is made out of plastic. You will also get those boring cloth seats which you can get better seats made of leather in a Nissan Qashqai which cost only SGD 108,000.
The Audi A1 Sportback has a 1.0L TFSI S Tronic engine which produces 94bhp but it is surprisingly fast with a top speed of 229km/h and it can go from 0-100km/h(0-60mph) in just 3.7 seconds!!!! fuel comsumption for this car is 22.7km/L which means that the Audi A1 Sportback is very fuel efficient. The Audi A1 also won the Car Of The Year 2015 Award which means that this is the cheapest Audi on the market.
8. Audi A3 Sedan
The Audi A3 Sedan is not only a very good looking and cheap luxury sedan which you can pick up at just SGD 119,000. It is also a small and compact luxury sedan. Under the body of the Audi A3, it uses the same shell as the Volkswagen Jetta which means that it will feel small and cramped like a Volkswagen Jetta. This car will look very good on the outside as it has very nice LED rear lights which looks like :
The Audi A3's rear lights look very futuristic and agressive like the headlights. So, let's move on to the interior.
The interior looks a lot better than the Audi A1 Sportback as it now has some metal trim on the dashboard. It also has a knob which controls the Multi-Media system. The seats on the Audi A3 Sedan also looks better than the seats in the Audi A1 Sportback asthe seats in the Audi A1 Sportback seats are made out of cloth while the seats in the Audi A3 Sedan is made out of leather. As expected, you will get more power under the bonnet. You will get a 1.4 TFSI S Tronic engine under the bonnet which produces 129bhp and has a top speed of 250km/h and it can go from 0-100km/h(0-62mph) in 5.5 Seconds. Fuel comsumption of this car is 20km/L which is not as efficient as the Audi A1 Sportback because of the fact that the Audi A3 Sportback is a bigger car than the Audi A1 Sportback.
7. Chevrolet/Chevy Cruze
The Chevrolet/Chevy Cruze was always an affordable. But this year, you can just get a brand new Chevrolet Cruze which is the base 1.6 version for just SGD 105,999 while you can get the 1.4 Turbo Version for just SGD 109,999.
So, lets move on to the exterior. The thing that I do not like about this car is that the rims on the base 1.6L version and the top of the range 1.4L version of the Chevrolet/Chevy Cruze is not as nice as other cars that you see on the road. You get steel wheels which looks very boring. But if you compare this car to the Nissan Qashqai, the Nissan Qashqai gets better rims on the exterior. In my opinion, I think that they should include better styling of the rims on the exterior of the Chevrolet Cruze.
The interior is very good looking and futuristic as the dashboard of the all new Chevrolet Cruze looks like:
This looks like a very nice interior as the multi-media audio system on the dash is quite big. However, it is controlled by buttons. But surprisingly, it has Navigation which comes standard on both models.which is what a car this days should really have.
The tailights may not look as attractive as the Audi A3 Sedan's rear lights because the Chevrolet Cruze is a cheaper car than the Audi A3 Sedan. But in my opinion, this is a very good deal as both the models of this car cost under SGD 110,000 without road tax.
Fuel Economy for this car is also quite good as it is 13.9km/L for the base model and 14.9km/L for the top of the range model. The 1,6L model of this car gets an engine which produces 115bhp and the 1.4L model produces 138bhp. Top speed for this car is 220km/h.
6. Chevrolet Cruze Station Wagon
Want or need a bigger car for your family? Maybe you should go for the all new 2016 Chevrolet/Chevy Cruze station wagon as it is basically the bigger Chevrolet/Chevy Cruze. It is roomier, has a big boot, and so much more!!!!
You can get one of these cars at just SGD 115,999 as you pay for extra space.
You will get a 1.4L Turbo engine from the Chevrolet Cruze which produces 115bhp and has a top speed of 220km/h which is very fast for a car this size. I'm sorry that this car's top speed is not avaliable yet which means I will update you guys if I know the top speed of this car.
Styling of this car on the exterior looks the same as the Chevrolet Cruze as the tailights and headlights look the same.
As expected, you will get a larger boot and more headroom. However, the interior is not as stylish as the Subaru Leverog as it cost less and you will get less features. But this is one of the cars that you can buy on a budget if you have a family.
6. Ford Fiesta
The Ford Fiesta is a very tough hatchbacks which can cost only SGD 96,800. It is also very tough as it can cross run away from a Chevrolet Covrette in a shopping center and cross the river when taking part in a beach assault like:
The Ford Fiesta's styling is very good but it is not look as good as the Ford Focus hatchback because it is a cheaper car.
The Ford Fiesta Hatchback has a multi Media Audio System and it also comes standard with Navigation which is really a very nice feature as if you do not know the way anywhere around the world. So, in my opinion, if you are a college student that wants to get a car on a tight budget, the Ford Fiesta will be a good car for you.
5. Ford Focus Hatchback/Sedan

The Ford Focus is a budget small car that you can buy for yourself if you have more money than a college student. The Ford Focus with both Sedan and Hatchback versions only costing SGD 105,888 which means that they are budget cars.
For the money that you pay, you will get a lot for the interior like lights in the door handles. This means that Ford is not very bad at designing interiors at an affordable cost. The interior has many gadgets and it looks like:
Which is literally not a boring car. It has many gadgets inside like a Multi-Media Audio System. You would also get a start button ignition and daytime running lights!!!! In my opinion, I wish that Ford can put some wood trim inside their cars to make the dashboard look better.
The 1.0L Titanium engine produces 123bhp and has a top speed of 220km/h which is expected for a car this size to reach this speed. Fuel comsumption is an impressive 18.2km/L which means that the Ford Focus 1.0 Titanium can help you save money.
4. Ford Focus Station Wagon
Want a bigger car for your family, why not get the Ford Focus Wagon as it has more room than the ordinary Ford Focus. It only cost SGD 5,000 more than the Ford Focus Hatchback and Sedan which brings the price up to SGD 110,888 which you pay for more space.
The Ford Focus Wagon shares the same DNA with the Ford Focus sedan as the rear lights is exactly the same.
But it just has a hatch. Everything is pretty much the same but it only has more headroom and legroom.
3. Toyota Sienta
Having a bigger family and having a tight budget? Why not buy the Toyota Sienta as it only cost SGD 105,800 which is very cheap for an MPV. The Toyota Sienta looks very futuristic from the interior to the exterior as the rear end looks like:
That's right!! it looks like this as it has an X design with the tailights aligned like this. It may look very boxy from the exterior but in my opinion, you are looking at a future budget car.

The interior looks very futuristic with those orange things on the dash and the interior also looks even more futuristic as it has a white and black dashboard. You will feel more of in the future if you sit in this car than look at futuristic computers.
The Toyota Sienta is powered by a 1.5L 107bhp engine which does not seem like much as this is an MPV. Fuel Comsumption is an impressive 20.2km/L which is very impressive for an MPV as an MPV is a big car and the Toyota Sienta has good fuel comsumption!!!! Very impressive Toyota. Keep it up!
2. Honda Civic
This is finally the Honda Civic after 10 Generations!!!! It looks real good from the outside and it has better user reviews than the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer. And it only cost SGD 110,999. This could be the best looking new car that you can buy on the Budget Car Market these days as it has beautiful rims on it. It looks good from the exterior to the interior and the interior looks like:
Not the most good looking interior on the market but it is quite user friendly. It has a parking brake which is really what you will not be expecting for a car under SGD 130,000. However, the touch screen Multi-Media Audio System does not have a knob to adjust the volume of your music. But overall, the interior looks quite okay and it is quite okay.
The Honda Civic does not have the most powerful engine on the budget new car market as it only has 123bhp and has a top speed of 211km/h which is really not that bad for a compact car. Fuel comsumption is also not so bad at 14.2km/L.

1. Nissan Qashqai
I think that most people should know this car by now. The Nissan Qashqai is the best selling SUV in Singapore because it is cheap to run, reliable, stylish from the exterior to the interior and cheap to buy. The base model for the Nissan Qashqai cost only SGD 108,000 while the top of the range model for the Nissan Qashqai cost SGD 127,300 which is really cheap. The interior is also very stylish and it looks like:
You get wood and metal trim on the dashboard which looks very luxurious. It also has quite a big LCD display which can display all the settings and all your songs. You will get a 1.2L engine which produces 114bhp and can go from 0-100km/h(0-62mph) in 10.5 seconds which means that that is quite slow. But at least it is faster than the Mazda CX-5.
