Million dollar car crash in Singapore: This 31-year old guy is lucky to survive

This 31-year old man was very lucky to survive after he crashed his SGD 700,000 Audi R8 V10 into 4 lamp posts. The front of the car was totally smashed and one of the wheels of the car even came off. The man had suffered minor injuries and worst of all, there is a female passenger in the car which her condition is unknown. Luckily, no one at the side walk was hurt. Investigations are still ongoing and the police suspects that the driver could have been drinking and driving. The driver behind this Audi R8 also had to pay SGD 2,000 for each street lamp that he knocked down.

The penalty for drink driving in Singapore is:

1st offence- Fine between SGD 1,000 to SGD 5,000 or up to 6 months imprisonment or both

2nd offence- Fine between SGD 3,000 to SGD 10,000 and up to 12 months imprisonment or both\

3rd and subsequent offence- Fine up to SGD 30,000 and up to 3 years imprisonment
