How to clean your bicycle or kick scooter the easy and cheap way

Your kick scooter/bicycle is never washed since the day you bought it. Some people do not wash their bicycles/scooters for many years. That's why their bicycle or scooter is very dirty everyday. So, these are the tools that you will need for cleaning your bicycle the cheap way:

Spray bottle filled with water

Two dry rags

That is all you will need. You can get these tools at supermarkets.

Step 1: Spray your bicycle or kick scooter with water from top to bottom.

Spraying water on your bicycle or scooter from top to bottom is good because the top of your scooter or bicycle will always be less dirty than the bottom of your scooter or bicycle as the majority of dirt and stubborn road grime is always on the bottom of your scooter which means that it will take more work to get rid of them. So, that is why I recommend spraying from the top to the bottom.

But if you want a better result for your kick scooter or bicycle's paint, you can go to a bicycle shop to pick a bicycle soap which is suitable for you. After picking your soap, just put one cap of soap and more water in your soapy spray bottle and water in another spray bottle. This is much better and more efficient that the two bucket method used by professional bicycle cleaners. It also saves water.

Step 2: Dry your kick scooter or bicycle.

Drying your kick scooter or bicycle can prevent water spots staying on it which do not look nice when it is facing the sunlight. So, how should you dry your scooter? Same as spraying your kick scooter from top to bottom, you should also dry your kick scooter from top to bottom as the bottom of your scooter usually has more dirt than the top and if you dry your scooter from bottom to top, the dirt from the bottom of your kick scooter will scratch your surface at the top.

Step 3: Detail your kick scooter or bicycle:

For the detailing part, take your spray bottle/ bottles to spray onto your kick scooter or bicycle and then wipe it off with your detailing cloth harder than drying your kick scooter or bicycle. which can get most of the scratches of your kick scooter or bicycle out. So, that means that the harder the detailing cloth, the better treatment for the scratches on your scratches on your kick scooter or bicycle.
